Any divorce is a sad story which breaks hearts, ruins lives and leaves unrealized dreams behind. But there is always hope for better future. And I really believe both Natalia Vodianova and her husband Justin Portman will be happy, together or separate. For Vodianova it was a fairy-tale. A girl who had to help her mother sell fruit in her home town in Russia became a successful model and married an English aristocrat and a billionaire. For Portman it was big love. Now they split, after 9 years of marriage, with three kids Lucas, nine; Neva, five and Viktor, three.
Although no details are given in the press some rumors started buzzing as early as March 2011. The couple was reported to have problems and spouses spent a lot of time living in different countries. And while we had still hoped the Russian Cinderella would do everything to save the marriage the result was announced yesterday – Vodianova and Portman split.
Natalia Vodianova doesn’t comment on the details of the split. All she says is it is all ‘sensitive’:
Its really sad. It has been a while. We didnt want to talk about it. We still dont. Our children are very much aware of it. Its OK. Were still in a very sensitive position right now, and trying to do things as amicably as possible, so I wouldnt want to talk about it at all. I dont think I ever will want to, because its strictly between my husband and me.
